About.
Camp Maranatha exists to reach and develop individuals for Christ. We love to see people’s lives changed by Jesus. Our desire is to be a premier Christian camp where individuals may come, grow, and go in the name of Jesus Christ.
Camp Maranatha is affiliated with the Churches of God Conference in Findlay, OH and serves as a fully-operational camp and retreat facility.

FAQ

What camp should
I attend?
You should attend the camp of the grade you're going into.
For example:
If you just finished 6th grade, you would attend the camp for 7th graders (Jr. High Camp).

Can I still be a camper after I graduate
high school?
Yes. High school seniors who just graduated, may attend high school camp that following summer.

Do you offer financial assistance?
Yes. We offer several scholarships
to those who are unable to pay the registration fee. If interested, please contact the camp director, Jeff at 217-246-6439 to request.

Can I bring my phone?
One of the best things about camp is how it allows you to get away to connect with God in an unplugged atmosphere; therefore, all electronics including phones and tablets, are not permitted. You may leave them with a parent or turn them in at registration to be returned to you after camp. All staff have access to phones and the camp itself has a phone. They will be able to contact parents and 911 if needed.

What happens
if there's an emergency?
The camp itself and all staff have access to phones and walkie-talkies at all times. Each staff member is required to go through First Aid, CPR, & AED training prior to the camp season. We have a nurse on property at all times and a lifeguard on duty during u-picks at the lake.

What is the daily schedule like for a camper?
Each day, the campers will have the opportunity to memorize scripture and participate in team building challenges and outdoor games. They will have personal devotion time and the opportunity to ask questions and reflect. They will have choices of u-pick activities like swimming, fishing, and crafts. They will go to chapel for worship and a bible study in the morning and evening and enjoy time with their cabin mates baking, hiking, tie-dyeing and more. They will enjoy three delicious meals and two snack times and finally play a nighttime game in the dark before bed.

How much money should I bring for the snack shack?
It depends on the camper and what they wish to purchase. Campers will have the opportunity to go to the snack shack once a day, in the afternoon. They are allowed one treat and one soda each day.
Camp Maranatha t-shirts, sweatshirts, & water bottles may also be purchased.

What if I forget to
pack something?
We have a supply closet full of camp essentials like bedding and toiletries. Chances are if you've forgotten or lost something, we have a replacement for you!
